Even though Manchester City Football Club is not one of the most popular Premier League teams, they still do have some pretty well known players. It is not like they have a Wayne Rooney or a David Beckham, but they definitely do have a few players who can hold their own on the football pitch.

Kolo Toure: Kolo is currently the captain of Manchester City. He is 29 years old and is of Ivorian descent. Before this season, he played for Arsenal, where he experienced some success. He brings his speed and his agility to Manchester City.

Shay Given: It is not very often that one of the key players on a football team is a goalkeeper, but in Manchester City’s case, it is. Shay is one of the best goalkeepers around, and is currently holding the captains position as Kolo is on loan to another football club. It doesn’t matter who is playing in front of him – there is a good chance Shay will stop almost any shot that is taken against him!

While the key players of the team are usually the ones that get all the attention, it is the whole team that wins matches. While the above players do bring many important skills to the Manchester City Football Club, it is the efforts of the whole team that make them what they are. These may be the people you are cheering for, but they would be nothing without their teammates.

Every Premier League team plays at a good stadium. Some have lots of history, some have a great location, and some are engineering marvels. The stadium that Manchester City Football Club plays in, the City Of Manchester Stadium, is the latter.

The City Of Manchester Stadium stated construction in 2000, making it one of the most modern stadiums in the Premier League. It was originally designed for the Commonwealth Games, but once that festival was over, Manchester City moved in. They have been playing there ever since.

The City Of Manchester stadium can hold just under 48,000 roaring fans. Amazingly, most of Manchester City games are almost full capacity, with the average attendance figures well over 40,000 per year. There is no doubt that they team receives a great home field advantage because of this.

The surrounding area of the City Of Manchester Stadium is actually quite popular as well. There are many restaurants, stores, and other facilities that make it easy to spend a whole day very close to the stadium.

Much like every other Premier League Football club, Manchester City has quite a storied past. They have gone through good times and bad times, and these experiences are what makes the club so special today.

Manchester City Football Club started playing in 1880. In 1887, they moved to Ardwick and changed their name. But after some financial issues, they were back in Manchester City.

They started making progress in the early 1900’s. Before this time, they never really experienced any success. But, in 1904, they won their first FA Cup. After that big win, the following seasons took quite a downturn. Financial issues one again plagued the team, and they never recovered for a while.

Fast forward to the 1930’s, when Manchester City once again won a FA Cup in 1934. By beating Portsmouth that year, they started to rebuild their reputation as a strong team.

It wasn’t until 1956 that they won their next FA Cup. After this win, things really started to go downhill, with numerous relegations to take place in the following years.

It has taken all this time, up until the present, for Manchester City to make it back up and regain some of their former glory. Through some hard work and smart roster moves, they are back up to where they should be, the Premier League.

Manchester City has an interesting past. What does their future hold in store for them? Nobody really knows. They are now in the Premier Leaguer, and are slowly making progress towards the upper echelon of the league. Who knows where they will be in a few years – maybe the will be champions?

Every Premier League football team has some interesting events in their history. Manchester City Football Club is no different. Here are some interesting facts about Manchester City Football Club that you have probably never heard before.

Did you know that in 1906, seventeen players were suspended at the same time?

In 1906, only a few years after Manchester City won the FA Cup, a large portion of their team was suspended due to financial irregularities? Not much is known about the specifics of this situation, but seventeen players were placed on suspension, severely hampering the team’s ability to compete.

Did you know in 1938, the team was relegated after scoring the most goals in the season?

That’s right – after winning the division title the year before, Manchester City was relegated the following year, even though they scored more goals than any other team in their division. Talk about bad defense…

Did you know only 8,000 fans showed up to a game in 1963?

This was one of the lowest recorded attendance records for Manchester City. To put it in context, they weren’t doing very well, but even today when they are playing bad, their average attendance is over 40,000 fans per game.

Unless you spend a lot of time researching backgrounds and facts, you will never know even half the interesting facts behind most football teams. If you get some time, it is a good idea to do some research. You never know what you will find!

One question that many football fans ponder daily is whether their favorite Premier League team can claim the title. While most people truly believe that their team can win it all next year, the chances of that happening are probably pretty slim.

It takes a great team to win the Premier League. This is the most elite football league in the world, and you need to have start players that can all play together, execute plays and score goals. Defense is also important. When a team does all of those things better than everyone else, there is a good chance they will win. Does Manchester City have this?

Currently, the answer is no. They are making progress, but they are not up on the level of Manchester United or Chelsea. To win the Premier League, you are going to have to go through them, and at the current time, they are just not there. But, every year they are getting closer and closer.

Realistically, can Manchester City win the Premier League? If you look at the past, the answer would probably be no. But, that is the great thing about football – it doesn’t matter about the past, all that matters is the future. All it is going to take to take Manchester City to the top of the Premier League is a few moves in terms of roster changes and maybe a little bit of good luck. Once they get that, who knows what is possible!

There are thousands of football fans that call Manchester City their favorite team. This is not surprising – they play in a beautiful stadium, they have a lot of great players, they have exciting games, and they even win a match or two once in a while. But, how does Manchester City stack up from a sports bettor’s perspective. Is it a good idea to place bets on Manchester City, or should you stick with other Premier League teams.

One thing you really need to consider when deciding if a team is worth betting on is the consistency they play with. It doesn’t matter if they play like champions one game, but can’t even find the ball the next – you will never be able to successfully handicap a game like that. You need a team that is either consistent with winning or losing, and based on past performances, Manchester City is that.

In conclusion, is it a good idea to bet on Manchester City if you wish to win money? Of course it is! It doesn’t matter how good or how bad a football team is – all that matters is that you can predict the outcome of the game with some accuracy. As long as you know how to pick winners in a football game, there is no reason you should not place bets on Manchester City. Next time they have a match, log on to your online sports book and place a bet. You may be surprised with the result!
